Whatcom Sings Virtual Choir Project

on the song "Bright Morning Stars"

You are invited to sing in this virtual choir in order to sing together with and inspire one another somehow, while keeping our social distance, to bring a musical message of hope to our county in these difficult times, and to support the Interfaith Coalition, which provides services for Whatcom County residents experiencing homelessness.

Shawn Kirchner's arrangement of the Appalachian folk hymn "Bright Morning Stars" is simply gorgeous, heart-felt and inspiring. It calls us to reach across time, space and generations to care for one another. It is the perfect song to sing again and again. Singing it builds hope and faith.

Here's another beautiful film of the song, performed by Lawrence University Viking Chorale:

In order to participate, you need to send us a video of yourself singing your part of the song. Here is an instructional video on how to do that, along with written instructions in a downloadable PDF.
