Audition

Bellingham area singers are invited to audition for the Choir of the Salish Sea’s engaging 2021-2022 season

This select, tenor and bass choir began in Bellingham with “Innocent,” their striking inaugural concert in June, 2019 featuring “The Seven Last Words of the Unarmed.” Since then, the ensemble presented three major concerts, a virtual show “Big Rock Garden,” and was in the virtual “Bright Morning Stars.”

Advanced vocal technique, music reading skills and choral experience are required for membership in this elite16-24 voice ensemble. We treasure a close bond with each other, we sing and share from the heart, and we are passionate about social and environmental justice.

Director Kevin Allen-Schmid claims “Singing is all about love: love for one another, love for beauty, and the search for meaning and fulfillment in the service of others through song. Our lives are enriched by singing together, and we believe that through song we can make the world a better place.”

Rehearsals

We will rehearse Monday evenings from 6:45-8:45pm, then optional ensembles meet for 30 more minutes. Rehearsals are held in the Unitarian Fellowship at 1207 Ellsworth Street, Bellingham.
